“You don’t know if you’ll be able to deal with what, corpse?” Hidan spat with less than no concern for Asuma’s feelings. “It’s not like you have a choice. Don’t think I don’t know how Kabuto’s damned jutsu works.” He knew less than he thought; for example, he was under the impression that with Kabuto’s death would come the deaths of all of his minions as well.
“Of course I can keep up.” Hidan easily kept to Asuma’s side, dashing with him through the trees. “Yeah, something like that.” He agreed before hissing, “How the hell should I know? You’re his mentor, right? Figure it out! I’ll wait outside Konoha, and you’ll bring him to me- alone- something like that. Got it?” It was a demand.
“Your voice. It’s giving me a headache. I would prefer it if you stopped talking.” He spoke in one quick motion. He wanted to get this over with as soon as possible. If he could warn Shikamaru, he would. His eyes narrowed as he glanced to Hidan. “Are you sure about that now? I may not have a choice, but I don’t think you know as quite as much as you think you do.” Whoever his partner was, he would be shocked if they could put up with this.
“Mm. I’m sure you can.” He rolled his eyes in annoyance before picking up the pace, easily dodging random obstacles in his way. “Yeah, yeah. Understood. It’s going to be quite a scene for me to just waltz into Konoha. But.” He shrugged. He then came a stop, a number of feet away from Konoha’s gates. They were hidden in the trees. He reached up, rubbing the back of his neck. “I really don’t want to do this..” He sighed, reaching into his pouch to pull out a large brown cloak. How this could fit in his pouch is beyond him.
He slipped it on before allowing himself to transform into a somewhat older man. He looked at Hidan, licking his lips a few times. He had a slight hunch. “Don’t make any comments.” He scowled before slightly waddling his way over to the gates. He got in easily, claiming he was just a traveler. Making his way to Shikamaru’s house, he knocked a few times, awaiting for someone to answer the door. Hopefully..it wouldn’t be him.
Shikamaru was sitting in his bedroom not really doing anything. Today was very boring. Nothing was happening. No one was home. It was just boring. When he heard a knock on the door, not really caring who it was. If it were Chouji or Ino, they would simply walk in without knocking. Shika wasn’t really interested who was at the door. He figured that they would go away eventually. When the knocking persisted he groaned and walked downstairs. He opened the door and didn’t recognize the cloaked man. “Can I help you with something. My parents aren’t home, come at a later time,” He shut the door and resumed his post up in his room.
